Architect and Media Influencer

Architect Hemalatha Kumaresan is a Lively, Dedicated & a Motivated Architect. With over five years of experience in the academic field, she has worked with commitment to the academic growth and development of every student. She always encouraged and took the lead in conducting various events and always encouraged students to participate in various events. Her area of research interest includes Cinema and Architecture, Sustainable and Cultural Qualities of Traditional Architecture.

She believes in the quote “Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.”-Chris Grosse. This is why other than being an academician she is also a media influencer. She has participated and won TV shows and also been a brand ambassador for various brands.

Ar. Anita Senthil

Associate Professor

Ar. Anitha is an Associate Professor, with a Master’s degree in Architecture. She started her career as a Junior Architect at Murali Architects, an established firm in Adyar, where she has handled multiple arduous Residential, Commercial, and Institutional projects. She is meticulous when it comes to designing and firmly believes hard work always pays off. Her passion for teaching made her work in many reputed institutions across Chennai. In her 8 years of teaching experience, she has helped numerous students gain confidence, improve in design communication, and develop technical skills. She focuses on a people-centric approach in design and has an interest in planning, analyzing, and nurturing the built and natural environments.

Ar. N. Barath

Principal, MNM Jain School of Architecture & Practicing Architect

An Architect with over 20 years of industrial and academic experience, Ar. Barath has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Hindustan College of Engineering, Madras University, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from SRM University, Chennai.

Over the years he has worked in numerous facets of Architecture, urban planning, landscape, and interior design through different stages of Design and Execution. He has balanced Academics and Practices together. He has contributed immensely to the Design studio and related subjects. He believes that the current academic programs should be rooted in real-world situations and respond to present and future needs in progressive ways. His approach towards academics has always been to encourage regular, effective, and flexible teaching methods. Young students of Architecture benefit immensely from his vast knowledge and command over the Practical approach towards design. He also aims to build networks with industry partners to collaborate on projects with students.

While sustainability is not fully established in the design world, Bharath firmly believes that they are quickly becoming absolute necessities and architects/students should cultivate this approach in design and think critically about the consequences of their work.

Ar. Ravi Prasad

Architect and Educator

Ravi Prasad is the founder of Mizzle design Studio which began in the year 2014 in Chennai. Over the years he has worked on several projects such as Residences, Interiors for Shopping Complexes, Jewellery showrooms, Hotels, Hospitals and Landscape Design. He works extensively on projects in and around Tamilnadu for Design-Build – Construction.

His Design Philosophy is to produce aesthetic designs, high-quality work and on time completion of projects within budget. With his practical experience has also ventured into academics and mentors students in architecture colleges. In 2019 his firm was ranked number 19 in Chennai top 50 architecture firms by Rethinking The Future Group. His style of work is a mix of contemporary and traditional techniques. Minimal forms govern the design along the play of texture is something he firmly works on. Efficiency and Aesthetics are what makes Mizzle Design Studio stand out.

Ar. Rajiv gomes

Architect / Educator / Project Manager

With a Master’s degree in Construction Management from the UK and an Excellence award in recognition of academic excellence from the University, Rajiv Gomes, Practicing Architect, has more than 14 years of professional experience in the field of Architectural Practice and Project Management along with more than 8 years of experience in the academic field. He has hands-on expertise working with some of the best International Design Institutes and Architecture colleges. His work approach involves an emphasis on design fundamentals, lateral thinking, and developing out-of-the-box solutions rather than run-of-the-mill kind of designs. His area of interest lies in designing High-end Residential interiors, Boutiques, and Institutional buildings. He also branched out into branding and has conceptualized logos and design concepts for various brands. Traveled widely to the UK, USA, Germany, Singapore, Dubai, and Malaysia.
